The BMW Wallbox 3rd Gen is a home charging station for all Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV).

This means that every customer can charge their vehicle safely, quickly and independently at home. In addition to its space-saving, compact dimensions in BMW or MINI design, the wallbox also offers convenient cable management including plug and wall bracket.

• Safe and fast charging: Compared with the OUC basic cable supplied with the vehicle, the wallbox achieves a significantly shorter charging time.
• Simple operation and convenient cable management: The cable can be hung on the cable holder , there is also a connector holder.
• Design and function: The BMW wallbox is space-saving and compactly dimensioned and made of robust, weatherproof materials for indoor and outdoor use.
• Inexpensive installation: DC fault detection is already integrated in the wallbox and thus contributes to significant savings in installation costs.
• Plug & Play: If the plug is plugged into the vehicle, the charging process starts automatically without any further steps being necessary.

Functionality

• The wallbox can be flexibly and easily connected to the house network.
• The specific function “time-controlled charging” is supported with the wallbox. This makes it possible to charge vehicles only at certain times and so z. B. to use particularly favorable electricity tariffs.
• Pre-air conditioning of the vehicle: The temperature in the vehicle can be preset. In the morning, the customer finds his or her charged and pre-heated or pre-cooled vehicle. The energy required for this is provided via the wallbox when the vehicle is connected and thus saved while driving – to maximize the range.
• The status display of the wallbox is shown by an LED bar on the front of the wallbox. Thanks to this display on the wallbox, the customer always has the current charge status in view, even from a distance.
• With the Wallbox Service App, the Wallbox can be kept up to date, a large number of settings can be changed and the current device status can be called up at any time. There is also information and advice on troubleshooting.
