Ground fault switch for charging station for electric cars, electric hybrids, charging hybrids. The ground fault circuit breaker of TYPE B has since 2017 been a requirement for charging electric cars. We offer the right switch for a difficult price. Fits (among others) Tesla Powerwall. In the case of electric car charging and solar installations, you must have an earth fault breaker type B according to the new electrical installation rules 2017 (Edition 3 of SS 436 40 00). It is a Swedish standard that should be followed. The reason for this is that an ordinary earth leakage circuit breaker can stop working if it is used in these contexts, which in the worst case can lead to fire or electric accidents.
Type B RCDs provide protection against DC Residual Fault Currents.
Type B RCDs are used where DC residual currents can occur, for example, Electric Vehicle Charging, three phase rectified supplies, micro generation or SSEGs (Small Scale Electricity Generators) such as solar panels and wind generators.
Function:
Control electric circuits.
Protect people against indirect contacts and additional protection against direct contacts.
Protect installations against fire hazard due to insulation faults.
Residual current circuit breakers are used in housing, tertiary sector and industry.
Safe use
A suitable rated RCBO/RCD device may also be required in the final circuit to provide the correct level of protection whilst avoiding unnecessary tripping. Always consult wiring regulations or a electrical contractor to be sure.
